On their website, the owners of Lillo Caffe claim that they visited L.A. in 1994 and were unable to get a decent espresso, so they opened their own facilities to roast Italian coffee beans with true Italian style. Headquartered in Van Nuys, the business looks like it is spreading into city limits with "coming soon" signage popping up for Lillo Caffe on Santa Monica Blvd. in the Westwood/Century City area. 10531 Santa Monica Blvd.
