We’re not yet tired of the pop-up game, especially when it’s a notable chef like Gary Menes doing the pop-upping. The toque, who recently split from Palihouse, will showcase his forthcoming restaurant with Cafe Stella’s Francois Renaud in a four-week, weekend-only temporary restaurant called Quartier, housed at Toluca Lake’s new Olive & Thyme. Expect a fresh menu each week full of Mene’s signature sourcing in dishes like pressure roasted baby beets and pork belly with stone ground grits and petits pois a la Francaise on a $52 seven-course pre-fixe menu. Reservations for the twice-a-night seatings can be had by emailing Quartier or calling 323-400-5258.
