Foodies With Benefits

Who Is Cooking at Taste of The Nation Laguna Beach

Before landing in Los Angeles in June, seven well-known chefs will prepare a dinner for Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation at Montage Laguna Beach on May 22nd. The benefit is part of a national network of fund-raising events with the aim of erasing hunger in U.S. children by 2015 by funding local organizations and programs that tackle the problem head-on or promote community nutrition. The $150 ticket price grants access to an ocean-view party catered by Joachim Splichal, Alex Stratta, Scott Conant, Mark Peel, Alan Wong, Richard Ruskell of Montage Beverly Hills and this hotel’s own Craig Strong.

The seven will each be paired with a local farm and winery to prepare produce-intensive dishes accompanied by wine, live music, cocktails, and a crowd of good hearts. 100% of proceeds go to Community Action Partnership of Orange County, Second Harvest Orange County Food Bank, and Father Serra’s Food Pantry at Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano.
