Some exciting news crossed with even more exciting speculation going on over at Zach Brook’s Midtown Lunch today. The blogger lets us know that A-Frame quietly added Saturday and Sunday lunch service to its repertoire this weekend, with new servings of blueberry pancakes, a double cheeseburger with fried egg, and a Cobb salad. And over on the Kogi blog, the crew details exactly why Chego will never be open for lunch, but admits that it wants to bring its rice bowls to a bigger audience, having even considered an Eastside outpost (the real estate was too expensive) and now mulling the possibilities of a Chego food truck. It was only last week that Roy Choi gave us all a stern tongue-lashing over our food truck scene. Might the chef return to his roots on the road and save us all this time?
