This just in from the reps of chef Louis Kim, formerly of Four Seasons Milan and Singapore and Passo and Chohi in Seoul. The chef is taking over the Lucky Fish space on Canon in Beverly Hills for his own new restaurant called Erbe Matte (not quite "yerba mate," but close). The restaurant involves Kim showcasing his many and well-rewarded years of experience as well as a mysterious Italian cuisine concept refrerred to only as "crazy herbs." L.A. is already pretty saturated with crazy herbs these days, but from a chef of Kim's caliber, we can certainly make room for more. Open this fall at 338 Canon in Beverly Hills.
