Downtown lounge Onyx emerged one month ago with a dynamic approach to wine and cocktails and a couple of clever combinations like a habanero-scented conch and plantain combo called “The Old Man and the Sea” and a jalapeno-laced Mexican cheese steak. There’s also a simpler approach at play. To celebrate beer month and possibly just to throw a watery beer in the face of today’s hop-head legion, the lounge is offering a $5 Miller High Life Pounder in a brown bag.
