A Look at Bistro Oh La La, Opening This Weekend in Redondo Beach

Frederic Escudier, a native of France who has called The U.S. home for just three years, is opening Bistro Oh La La this weekend in Redondo Beach at the former home of Le Beaujolais (fortunately signage calling it "Ho La La" is just temporary). The menu revels in simple European comforts for lunch, with a selection of four creative croque monsieur and several variations on mussels, along with Gallic soups, salads, quiche, baguette sandwiches, and a short list of panini. What else?

Escudier is the chef, as well as owner here, and for dinner, will go a little heavier with escargots, pasta plates, steak, poultry, pork, and seafood. Wine will naturally be an essential component as well and we're stoked to see that, with one or two exceptions, charges are kept below the $20 price point.
