Rosé plans to open its doors this Friday evening on La Cienega Blvd. The new St. Tropez-inspired restaurant only reared its head quite recently, with news that NYC bar-whiz Alex Ott would endow the spot with a few signature drinks, on what’s regrettably referred to as a “mood menu” in press materials.

We’ve been given a sneak peak at a few of Ott’s cocktails, which riff on French New Wave cinema (there’s even a drink called La Nouvelle Vague) by name-dropping Bardot, Vadim, and Breathless, among others, in concotions packed with fresh fruit, herbs, floral and root garnishes, and little else in these often clear libations. Come take a look below at three of the drinks that Ott has in store for La Cienega when Rosé opens this Friday night. We can only hope Shoot the Piano Player eventually gets its due, and when it does, it involves mezcal.

The Bardot Spa

The Bardot Spa is a mixture of gin, cucumber, white cranberry, Pimm’s No. 1, and lime with a cucumber “flower” garnish.

La Nouvelle Vague

La Nouvelle Vague finds mezcal mixed with cilantro, pineapple, ginger, chili pepper, and lime with a citrus peel “flower” garnish.

Poivran

Poivran contains gin with yellow bell pepper, lemon, honey, and pink peppercorn with a bell pepper “sunflower” garnish.
