Earl’s Gourmet Grub is getting ready to unveil a brand new menu, though its most popular sandwiches, like the Pig-n-Fig and Who Dat? Po’boy, will not be jettisoned. Earl’s new selection will have burgers, with both Niman Ranch bison and beef varieties available, along with a pig-n-fig version topped with prociutto di parma and the meat-free option of portabello as a patty. The Mar Vista shop is also entering the pasta business, making their own line of hand-cut egg noodles in-house for a bison bolognese, a pasta with clams plate, and as a partner to puttanesca. All three come with garlic-rubbed crostini and mixed greens. Earl’s other changes mostly affect the salad selection, with no word on when the new fare will take it place. The restaurant currently keeps late hours on Friday evening, until 8:30 P.M., perhaps the ripest time to combine their noodles with your canoodling?
