As of today, Mark Gold is closing his restaurant, Eva, to enjoy a two-week vacation with his family. Citing a work schedule that has seen him in the kitchen basically every day, Gold felt it the right time to get a little R&R; this month. Rumors had been floating around for weeks that a small redesign was due to cause a similar temp shutter at the Beverly Blvd. restaurant and sure enough, Gold is taking the opportunity to make a few small adjustments on the design, along with a few necessary maintenance fixes. Also coming down the pipeline at a reopened Eva will be a new cocktail menu, and possibly, the addition of a few new food specials. Eva plans to reopen on July 19th. Meanwhile, your fix for bottomless mismosas will just have to be sought elsewhere.
