This just in: Newport Beach is throwing a massive tasting event, with food playing second-fiddle to cocktails and stogies. The First Annual Orange County Spirits and Cigar Tasting and Awards is being held in Newport Beach’s Hyatt Regency on August 12th, from 3:00 to 10:00 P.M. Over 30 spirits will be sampled, with a timely focus on corn, rye, and agave, while pro tastings finish the day and cigars from Ventura Cigar Company and KreTek get passed around. What will be there to sample?
Club CST (Cigars and Spirits Tasting) will oversee an awards ceremony where a panel of pros will grant “best in show” accolades to the companies that stand-out with their product and appetizers will be served to soak it all up.
