Here’s some exciting news for fans of Filipino-American barbecue crew The Park’s Finest. The catering outfit announces on Facebook that it’s going brick-and-mortar, opening its own barbecue joint in Echo Park. Founder Johneric Concordia, a son of Echo Park’s Filipinotown who uses a Philippines-style sauce adapted from his father’s recipe, writes, “To everyone that’s been waiting, the rumors are true, we are opening a spot in the very neighborhood we grew up in. Where we played as Echo Park All Stars, raised families, and built a community. It is a dream that we have shared for decades that is steadily becoming reality.” While it appears the outfit is currently seeking space, you can get an idea of their barbecue style by looking at a few sample menus on their website.
