It sounds like a set-up to an off-color joke: Two Irish bars and a Mexican restaurant decide to lead a Hawaiian-themed pub crawl in Santa Monica. It’s not really a joke, just a funny slice of reality for Santa Monica swillers going down on Wilshire tomorrow evening. The Hawaiian Pub crawl starts at Sonny McClean’s at 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, requiring everyone who wants to be involved in this drink-fest and scavenger hunt to arrive in Hawaiian costume.

From there, teams of two will get a list of items to collect or photograph and hit Wilshire stumble between Casa Escobar, Philly spot The Shack, O’Brien’s, and ending at Angel’s, where the prizes will be announced and a raffle will take place at midnight. Besides your Hawaiian shirt or grass skirt, you’ll need ten dollars to enter, an empty stomach to proceed, and a high tolerance to survive. Starts at 9:00 P.M. at 2615 Wilshire Blvd. Santa Monica.
