Pattern Bar Brings Relief to Downtown Fashionistas

A new lounge and restaurant named Pattern Bar is now open on Ninth Street in Downtown, and PopSugar reports it as the rare Downtown drinking den that’s more Chanel than Chucks. The cocktails here are named after such style icons as Gaultier, Dior, and Valentino, while the food includes everything from a long list of Venezuelan arepas to paninis, tapas, and salads, with most prices around and under ten dollars. On Sundays, a $20 Cuban brunch includes one mojito or mimosa, along with eats like a pressed pork and ham sandwich and a Venezulean criollo and cachapa. Sounds like a perfect alternative for urbane older siblings who want to drop their bratty brothers off at Wurstkuche and have a suitable spot to have their own brand of fun.

Pattern Bar, 100 W. Ninth St. Downtown. 213-627-7774.
