Dana Hollister, owner of Villains Tavern and Cliff's Edge, is currently in the process of turning her defunct Bordello (one of the city's oldest bar spaces, which used to operate as Little Pedro's) into a new bar and restaurant called One-Eyed Gypsy, a name that already seems to speak to the designer's preference for offbeat vintage details and historical outsiders. Details remain slim, though a private preview event scheduled for next week promises cocktails and carnival fare, while Lina Lecaro, always on the cusp of what's happening in the witching hours, already caught a few Sunset Junction exiles playing in this live music space late last month. Expect an opening soon at 901 E. 1st St. Downtown.
