Hey Nidaime Tsujita, Start Serving The Ramen Already!

Discouraging news lingers on Sawtelle as Nidaime Tsujita, the Japanese imported "artisan noodle" restaurant continues to tease us with its ramen, without actually serving the stuff. A manager at Tsujita now tells us its highly anticipated ramen won't likely be served until the end of October, even though the whole "noodle issue" and reception to its other dishes continues to split public opinion.

We're all for perfecting the recipe and everything, even if a Facebook fan already claims that the ramen here doesn't resemble the Tokyo version, but we really wish these guys would put their foot on the gas. We'd think it'd be in their interests, seeing as the opening day for Ramen Jinya on this street is fast approaching.

Fortunately, while we wait for Tsujita to complete its mission, there's a worthy list of new ramen spots to still knock off, from the new Culver City location of Yamadaya to Hollywood's recently opened Ikemen.
