From this point forward, we vow to celebrate “Suzanne Goin Week” from October 10th-14th. It really has been a big one for the chef, who announced the lineup for her L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade benefit, that she and husband David Lentz have a TV special airing this week, and that she’s working on an AOC cookbook. But the biggest news was being kept close to Goin’s heart.

Eater reports that Goin and partner Caroline Styne will open The Larder in the former Mani’s on Maple space. The cafe will serve brunch, lunch, and dinner (since most of the area’s working stiffs flee at 5:00 P.M., the emphasis will be on takeout) with house-baked breads and pastries, sandwiches, and salads, possibly reminiscent of The Larder at Goin’s Brentwood restaurant Tavern. An opening could happen as early as next Wednesday. 345 N. Maple Dr. [Eater]
