Jonathan Chi’s 28-year-old Chinese empire Chi Dynasty has a Brand new location in Glendale, open today at Americana at Brand. Last year, the restaurant opened a second spot in Studio City and today this northeast L.A. shopping center welcomes its first Chinese eatery. Expect similar royal decor of red latticework and red walls as you’ll see in its sister locations, as well as huge glass doors that open the inside to the outside on a whim. The same menus of traditional Chinese fare and the chef’s Bon Apetit-praised modern specialties (vegetarian Beijing duck, anyone?) will be served here, while this Chi also has a full liquor license to pair some hooch to your hot and sour soup.
