L.A.’s best pizzas are suddenly raining down on upon Orange County. Pizzeria Mozza just opened its doors in Newport and now O.C. Register reports that one of the few pizzas we prefer to Silverton’s is heading to Costa Mesa, as Pitfire Pizza takes over a closed location of Marie Callendar’s.

Angelenos know each Pitfire is different and Nancy Luna tells us this 5,000-square-foot store will incorporate an outdoor patio with a fire pit where customers can watch the pizzas being fired,. Founder Paul Hibler confirms, “The whole restaurant is built around a demonstration wood fire pizza oven.” With four locations currently in L.A., Pitfire is apparently eying more moves throughout Orange County, with additional stores planned for the future. Now all the region needs is a Stella Rossa!
