Westwood: Although Casa Azul, the new spot from the people behind the Frida Mexican restaurants, has been open for a couple weeks, it will “officially” be open on Monday, Jan. 2 for lunch and dinner. If you’re still nursing a hangover, you might want to try the pozole. [GS]
Manhattan Beach: David LeFevre’s M.B. Post will kick off brunch service on Jan. 2, which is a Monday but a holiday, from 10:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. Look for dishes like truffle fried chicken, ricotta-stuffed French toast, and a Benedit on those wildly addictive bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits. After Monday, look for that brunch menu every Saturday and Sunday. [GS]
