M.B. Post Does Brunch (Finally!); Delicieuse to Stop Scooping

Now open in Westwood

Westwood: Although Casa Azul, the new spot from the people behind the Frida Mexican restaurants, has been open for a couple weeks, it will "officially" be open on Monday, Jan. 2 for lunch and dinner. If you're still nursing a hangover, you might want to try the pozole. [GS]
Manhattan Beach: David LeFevre's M.B. Post will kick off brunch service on Jan. 2, which is a Monday but a holiday, from 10:30 A.M. to 3 P.M. Look for dishes like truffle fried chicken, ricotta-stuffed French toast, and a Benedit on those wildly addictive bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits. After Monday, look for that brunch menu every Saturday and Sunday. [GS]

Redondo Beach: The charming Delicieuse will stop serving gelato on Jan. 1. But until then, there are two special flavors added to the roster: one made with rice, and another with 100% cacao chocolate. [Squid Ink]
Sherman Oaks: After the original Mr. Cecil's closed a couple weeks ago, Eater notices the Sherman Oaks location is also now finito. [Eater]
Silver Lake/Echo Parkish: The owner of healthy food market Erewhon is strongly considering opening a location more east. Tony Tony Antonic, Erewhon's president, says the company is "looking for a location in Silver Lake and surrounding areas." [Echo Park Patch via Eater]
Culver City: The leafy Choppe Choppe is no longer chopping. But owners of the café say they're working on opening a Beverly Hills location. [Eater]
Roaming: The No Tomatoes! Indian food truck was stolen—how does one hide a large red mobile kitchen, anyway?—but has since been returned to its rightful owners. [Squid Ink]
