This Monday evening, Fig & Olive is offering the public free shots...of olive oil. From 6:00-7:00 P.M., you and every single last one of your friends are invited into the La Cienega Mediterranean to taste samples of the restaurant's olive oil stash with New Yorker contributor Tom Meuller, who will be signing and selling his new book, Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil. Complimentary cocktails will also be served, while an optional, limited-seating four-course olive oil tasting dinner follows freeloader hour at $85 a head, with Meuller as host.
