Robert Simon, owner of Pasadena’s Bistro 45, lets us know that a new executive chef is in the kitchen, following three years of the position standing vacant. Steven Lona comes with an excellent local background, having put in time as a prep cook at Costa Mesa’s Marche Moderne before working aside James Boyce and Craig Strong at Stuido at the Montage in Laguna Beach. Lona is currently making changes to the menu here, building on its themes of locally-sourced French bistro cooking.
