As previously reported, Andrew Zimmern is in town to cook a $150 pop-up dinner at Royal/T this Friday. But before he gets cooking, the Bizarre Foods host is tearing up the town right now, tweeting an avalanche of local meals that he appears to be shooting for a show. So far, we spy Zimmern smacking his chops for a bite of whelk sea snail tonight at ink., paying a visit to the “Valhalla” of seafood purveyors in Downtown, giving love to the veal brains vadouvan at Animal, and watching as Lindy & Grundy eschew the belly of the beast to make bacon out of pig face. Who needs Wassada when you’ve got a bizarre lineup like that in Hollywood?
