Jeff Cerciello announces the opening of Farmshop’s long-awaited market component, completing the initial vision of this former Keller aide de camp. Cerciello has installed cheese guru Emiliano Lee as the market manager here, overseeing a stock of gourmet larder products, produce, beer, wine, cheese, housewares (Heath ceramics and Matteo linens are mentioned), and charcuterie, along with an in-house bakery and butcher. Come meet the team.
While Lee demonstrates his flare for sourcing exceptional U.S. cheeses, with a stress on the west, Michel Darmon is on beer and wine duty, and will help organize pairing dinners with esteemed brewers and wine-makers over at the restaurant. Prepared foods (including both sandwiches and full entrees) are the provenance of Cerciello himself, with collaboration from executive chef Joshua Drew. Pastry chef Brittainy Turnquist will handle a selection of freshly baked cookies, cakes, pies, and pastries for the expanded bakery’s daily output.
Not only is the market open daily from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., but Cerciello also has plans for an educational component organized around cooking demos and tasting events that will highlight some of his favorite locals. The market at Farmshop is currently open for all, while January 29th finds an open house welcoming the public in for a look-see. See a list of current offerings, below.
