Next weekend, the town will be neck-deep in celebrities as The Golden Globes returns, again allowing Ricky Gervais to play Space Invaders with the fragile egos of Hollywood biggest stars. A few famous faces have already aligned in the past week, as we spied Good Charlotte singer Benji Madden swaggering towards Gjelina, Taylor Swift was spotted chowing down with girlfriends at Kate Mantilini Woodland Hills and ringing in 2012 in a typically safe-and-sane show of humility, Selena Gomez followed suit, pumping her own gas after a trip to McDonald's, and Courtney Cox played nice with David Arquette at Mr. Chow.
This tame approach to New Year's almost makes a writer starved for the return of some yayed-up, slurring Hollywood star power around here, but alas, even Lindsay Lohan was keeping things low-key at her Venice home, though trouble still has a way of hunting the poor child down.
Still, a simple stalker manages to beat out Jeremy Renner's stabby week trying to drink through Thailand. Here's holding out hope The Golden Globes will roll some classic Tinseltown drama back into our lives. Until then, check out the week's celebrity sightings below.
