Here’s the kind of feast we’re looking forward to seeing a lot more of as California’s looming foie gras ban comes closer to its June start-date. On Tuesday, February 28th and Wednesday, February 29th, The Royce at The Langham hotel in Pasadena is teaming with Ariane “Ms. Foie Gras” Daguin, founder of duck-directed gourmet meat supplier D’Artagnan, for two nights to celebrate the terroir and cuisine of Southwest France. David Féau will cook dishes from the Pyrenees, heavy on foie and game meat, with dishes including his cassoulet, on a five-course menu priced at $95 per person, $150 with paired French wines selected by sommelier Eric Espuny. Reservations for either date’s 7:15 P.M. seating can be found at 626-585-6410.
