We have no prejudices against rotating conveyor belt kaiten sushi, as all are not created equally. There are nights when the chefs at Sawtelle’s Daichan feel like family, though we have nothing but a cold shoulder for Little Tokyo’s disappointing new Kula after getting a taste. We’re still yet to try Gatten Sushi, a $2-a-plate kaiten chain with branches in Monterrey Park, West Covina, Rowland Heights, Cerritos, and Irvine, but all that could change when the chain comes to Koreatown next month in its first L.A. location. The restaurant is currently interviewing this week for a March debut on Wilshire and 6th. See the menu here and find Gatten, and possibly a few tipsy revelers, at 3785 Wilshire Blvd. Koreatown.
