Parolee Daniel Hegwood was arrested this weekend after robbing a Sacramento bank of a “substantial” amount of money. His weapon of choice? Two apple pies from McDonald’s stuffed into one of the chain’s paper bags, which the perpetrator claimed was a bomb. While certainly not Ocean’s Eleven material, Hegwood probably deserves at least a little credit in the annals of fast food heists for his ability to improvise. [NYDN]
