How to Play The Oscars Drinking Game at Bodega Wine Bar

How about some fries with that? Photo: TimShoesUnited via Flickr

The three locations of Bodega Wine Bar have a plan to invigorate this Sunday's Oscars ceremony with a drinking game, ensuring a little loaded fun, along with the sale of lot more wine, as customers take a slug every time an award recipient cries or someone thanks The Academy or revises a number of other falsely-humble-but-totally-pretentious moves.

Guests coming to the wine bar will be given a ballot, too, earning prizes for correctly predicting the most categories and a booby prize for the person who gets the most wrong (hopefully, writing in Mars Needs Moms is an option). Bodega also plans to offer all of its food, wine, and beer for half-off during the show and hilariously, is offering a side of free fries to anyone who has actually won an Oscar and brings it in (here's your big chance, Ennio Morricone!). See the official rules to Bodega's Oscars drinking game, below.

Drink or Toast every time:

-Someone cries while giving an acceptance speech
-The camera pans to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
-Someone mentions Harvey Weinstein or Martin Scorse
-Someone's acceptance speech goes too long and the music cuts them off
-Someone struggles to read off of the teleprompter, as if they don't professionally act for a living
-Someone thanks "The Academy" during their acceptance speech
-Someone does NOT mention "who they're wearing"
-Any time a winner claims that they haven't even prepared a speech
