Planned Parenthood L.A.’s Food Fare, the city’s oldest, and no doubt among our favorite, culinary events will kick off for the 33rd year in Santa Monica on March 8th. With its roots growing back to a culinary demo by Julia Child in 1979, The PPLA Fare annually packs two rooms of the Santa Monica Civic Center in a maze of top-tier restaurants like Maison Giraud, Spice Table, Drago Centro, Church & State, Angelini Osteria, Ammo, Locanda del Lago, and Lucques, as well as artisan food vendors, wine makers, sweets, and spirits (plus celebrities like Blythe Danner, Camryn Manheim, Cheryl Hines, and that hilarious bald dude from Californication).

This year, Suzanne Goin is being awarded the event’s “chef of the year” honor, and will prepare a special experience highlighting her farm-to-table approach for event VIPs. The Fare will be held over two sessions, one stretching from morning to afternoon and another in the evening, and stands as strongest source of fundraising for Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles. See the full list of participating restaurants online and get tickets here.

Thursday, March 8th at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium 1855 Main St. Santa Monica.
