If something about the 1% tip and nasty note to “Get a real job” at Newport’s True Food Kitchen struck you as funny, congratulations, you have one sharp set of peepers. The restaurant revealed that the offensive receipt, supposedly left by a grinchy banker, was actually photo-shopped from a real receipt for just $33.54 with a seven-dollar tip.
No word on who exactly doctored the receipt then posted it to a now-defunct “Future Ex-Banker” blog, though we’ll put our money on some devious occupier who learned everything they know about character assassination from watching Karl Rove. [The Smoking Gun]
