Rumors that chef Masaharu Morimoto is bringing a restaurant to Los Angeles are being rekindled today, as Eater writes that the Iron Chef might be considering a concept that would replace RH at Andaz. We imagine most Angelenos would make room for Morimoto, but hospitality workers union Local 11 (which calls for a boycott at the property over its labor practices) want him to know that any warm welcome could quickly cool if he got into bed with The Hyatt, owners of this once-notorious West Hollywood hotel. The union has even shot a catchy video that rolls out the red carpet for Morimoto, emphasizing the love they have for the chef, while also warning him not to play nice with Hyatt. The clip captures a varied cast of characters, including Hyatt chefs and servers, a random teenager or two, and Venice Beach's favorite party-animal street activist, Juan "Dollhouse Dude" Alcala.
