SinoSoul, the blogger who lead L.A. to smoky, fatty glory at Compton’s Bludso’s, has unearthed what he refers to as “another Bludso’s” while eating at Mississippi-style Hambone’s in Bellflower. He loves the baby backs and a sauce “as thick as molasses,” but avoids the po’boys, fearing “pan-soul food…as much as pan-Chinese.” As to the brisket, it doesn’t quite reach Bigmista’s or Bludso’s levels, “but it does get a solid B for effort.” [SinoSoul]
