When Revel Casino fires her engines for the first time next month, kicking off what’s being billed as an eight-week preview period (they’re taking reservations now), at least half of her restaurants will be on board for the ride. And of those seven restaurants that are opening with the casino on April 2, three are from hometown hero Jose Garces. Revel sent word this morning that clones of the Iron Chef’s Philly-based restaurants Amada, Village Whiskey and Distrito will be among the dining options available to the casino’s early adopters.

These past few months have been quite an action-packed ride for Garces. With these three properties, as well as those recently opened in Scottsdale, AZ and Palm Springs, his portfolio expands to 16 restaurants. And counting! Long-delayed Frohmans Wursthaus is still a go, and there’s rumblings of another ambiguous Garces project coming to Center City in the near future. And now he’s saying he would like to open something in L.A., too.

Along with the three Garces spots, other restaurants opening for Revel’s preview include Lugo, a spinoff of Chef Stefano Chiaruga’s Lugo Caffe in New York, and Michel Richard’s Central Michel Richard, O Bistro and Wine Bar, and The Breakfast Room.

The casino’s remaining restaurants will open in the eight-week run-up to its Memorial Day Weekend grand opening.
