Where to Virtually Brawl with Pacquiao and Bawl with Badu This Week

We’re not too up-to-date on the current functionality or naturalism of virtual reality, but just assume it’s not quite Strange Days just yet. That isn’t stopping Hennessy from coming to Hollywood this Thursday to take-over Lexington Social House with two cyber-geeky opportunities: First, to duke it out with Filipino ass-kicker, congressman, and world boxing belt-holder, Manny Pacquiao, then a chance to bare your soul and breathe fire with singer Erykah Badu. This will be achieved through some sort of virtual projections on the side of the building at Hollywood and Vine, as the two stars are presumably somewhere much cooler (ideally together). But wait, it gets a little weirder still.

The whole shebang is planned to promote the liquor label’s new celebrity ad campaign titled “Wild Rabbit.” To this end, inside the restaurant, the cognac company will introduce drinks (at a charge) inspired by The Pac-Man, Mizz Jackson Jr., and get this, Martin Scorsese, all three spokes-stars for the brand. Just what a Scorsese cocktail tastes like is fortunately still a mystery at this point (blood, asphalt, Hennessy, and mama’s marinara, we assume) but the whole virtual thing is free to check out from 9:00 to 11:00 P.M. on Thursday, meaning there’s a huge score (futuristic drinking games, Ladies Man jokes, ironic Facebook photos, and more) if the night just happens to pop off.

Thursday, March 22 at 1718 Vine St. Hollywood.
