First Look at Neta, Bringing Sushi From a Pair of Masa Veterans to the Village
Photo: Melissa Hom
Not long ago, we brought you word of Neta, an omakase and sushi restaurant from Masa veterans Nick Kim and Jimmy Lau, and now the restaurant is set to bow on Friday. As we mentioned, there’s a Dungeness crab chawanmushi (an alternative to the one featured today in “Best of New York”), and some other offerings that go beyond the traditional sushi menu. Think clam-miso soup, spicy salmon with pickled green beans, and bay leaf crème brûlée. Neta should open Friday, and reservations are recommended early on, as seatings will be limited at first; it’s dinner-only for now, but lunch will roll out soon. Scope a draft of the menu below, and see photos in our slideshow.
