What’s hiding up chef David Feau’s smock next after his feast with D’Artagnan? The chef at Pasadena’s The Royce is organizing a series of lunches based on French artists like Degas and Renoir. But first, the chef plans to tackle French impressionist Claude Monet at a tribute lunch that will be held Saturday, March 24 at 11:45 A.M. The four-course menu will be inspired and dedicated to the artist, and will be emceed by artist and lecturer Nori Green, who will tell tales of Monet’s own famous lunches and the artist’s kitchen anecdotes. Meanwhile, Feau will cook four courses for $65, including a “green on green” salad ith legumes and flowers, Dover sole Normande with chanterelle, roasted chicken with crayfish sauce, and a carmelized apple tart tatin. Is a Manet-inspired lunch on the grass in the works? It better be. Reservations at 626-585-6410.
