Dock Street founder Rosemarie Certo sent us word that the West Philly brewery is about to roll out the second in a series of beers that they’ve brewed in collaboration with Philly’s Four Seasons Hotel. You’ll recall that the first was a Truffled Old Ale. And like it, the next one up, which they’re calling Caliente Golden, will only be available in the hotel’s Swann Lounge for a very limited time beginning on Monday, April 16 at 6 p.m. Brewed in the style of a Belgian Strong Ale, the beer gets its name from the addition of Guajillo and Ancho chiles and blue agave nectar.

For its release, Executive Chef Rafael Gonzalez has come up with a couple of dishes to pair with the ale. Those dishes include charred shrimp ceviche with roasted pineapple; citrus and plantain chips; and adobo marinated chicken tacos with Jicama-Serrano salad and avocado.

Next up, the brewery and the hotel will brew another beer that will debut during Philly Beer Week in June, and another in the fall.

In other beer news, Sly Fox is bringing more than 15 of its brews to Barcade tonight. Everything from its core beers Phoenix Pale Ale and Pikeland Pils to rarer yields like its Abbey Dubbel and its Scotch Ale Gang Aft Agley will be on offer.

Just up the block on Frankford Ave. at Johnny Brenda’s, the folks from New Jersey’s Flying Fish Brewery are bringing in a bunch of their finest for happy hour. Among the brews they’re pouring will be the first of its seasonal Farmhouse Summer Ale.
