No matter which way the tortilla crumbles, Los Angeles will see a new taco champion this year, as L.A. Taco’s “Taco Madness” tournament has been whittled down to the final day of voting, with a winner to be crowned in the morning. Currently, two terrific Boyle Heights taqueros are neck-and-neck for the number-one spot, with shrimp and ceviche truck Jalisco holding 458 votes to the 433 votes taken by the neighborhood’s vital new Guisado’s, the follow-up taqueria to Cook’s Tortas. Every vote counts at this point to determine which one will wear the belt as L.A.’s favorite taco in 2012. [LA Taco]
