Firestone and Barney's Unite For Military Families

Firestone Walker Brewing Company and Barney's Beanery have put their heads together to raise funds for the education of children from U.S. families affected by war-time injuries. The two companies have united this month on "Boot Camp Beer," a program that donates 50 cents out of every pint of Firestone's popular "Pale 31" ale to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, which provides need-based scholarships to the offspring of Navy Corpsmen and Marines, particularly those who have a parent wounded or killed in combat. The program was sparked by Barney's franchise co-owner David Sacher, himself from a military family, and is currently available at all five Barney's locations from Pasadena to Santa Monica.
