Tempura-don specialist Hannosuke just completed installation of its its initial signage in the Mitsuwa food court, giving the surroundings a small touch of artistry and contemporary design. The wood-slatted facade hosts two shrimp carved into its panels, with a back-lit logo, and strange bubbles for peering into the kitchen. Meanwhile, a rep with Mitsuwa tells us the market’s next big import is slated to open in the final week of May or the first week of June, as owners are currently still in Japan working out the logistics of opening before coming back to town to cut ribbon on the new crunchy, fried things specialist.
