Expectations are ramping up and taste buds starting to water, as S. Irene learns direct from Michael Cimarusti that his casual New England-style seafood follow-up, Connie & Ted’s, is currently reviewing construction bids, after which building will commence on his West Hollywood sequel. Cimarusti tells the critic,”I really wanted to open a clam shack…This is going to be a little bigger, but we’ll still have a screen door slapping at the front.” The chef also plans an oyster bar with a selection of crab cakes, lobster rolls, chowder, and fried clams. The restaurant is named for his grandparents, whom he visited as a lad every summer in…Providence! [LAT]
