Just in time for the dispersion of “June gloom,” Brentwood will welcome a new frozen dessert dispatcher named Sweet Crush Ice Bar in early July. The business plans to ice you and your bros. with a take on Asian shaved snow where the bar planes frozen water and milk into flavors like mango, coconut, mojito, Earl grey, chocolate, green apple, and peanut butter with toppings like cheesecake, mochi, and brownie bits (oh, and fruit, but come on). The shop puts a heavy emphasis on the texture and appearance of its offerings, as well as its store, with trippy walls indented with snowflakes that change color, kind of like what you see here on the website if you wait long enough.
We’re yet to catch a glimpse of the actual product, but over on Twitter, the Sweet Crush crew promises “something you’ve probably never tried…before,” which we have, at least, heard before from an upstart or two in the past. Guess we’ll find out when Sweet Crush debuts next month right beside Brentwood’s Whole Foods.
