Lunch is Served at Duplex in West Hollywood

West Hollywood's week-old Duplex started lunch service this week, bringing new daytime dishes to the table from Lauren Cartmel. The chef's new menu goes heavy on tomatoes, including the gazpacho centered on basil-lime granite that you see here, as well as in a fourteen-dollar fried chicken BLT on ciabatta with pancetta, beefsteak tomato, and coleslaw, and a nicoise with sockeye salmon, blue lake beans, fingerlings, baby lettuces, and heirlooms. Cartmel is also introducing oysters with a pickled rhubarb mignonette, ceviche cured with tequila and paired with house-made tortillas, a wagyu roast beef sandwich with red onion jam, a side of black truffle frites, and crab cakes served with oro blanco grapefruit and avocado.
