Mirabelle sends word that the remade West Hollywood restaurant is embracing happy hour, which started this past Saturday. The early drinking hours were a hit here in years past and now under new chef Michael Bryant, Mirabelle is offering a daily run of two hours from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. daily that finds six-dollar cocktails, three-to-five dollar drafts, and five-dollar wines and well liquors on sale aside "The Summer BBQ Plate," the chef's market-shifting menu of $8 plates like wild boar ribs with mac and cheese, deep fried catfish in pecan-scallion butter with collards and candied yams, chicken and biscuits with fried green tomatos, and a relleno of shrimp and cheesy grits with Cajun Tasso ham.
