Eater's Matt Kang drops the word that a planned six-month pop-up by the coffee-roasters at Cafe Dulce being at Downtown's Hold Up Art was shut down yesterday by the department of health. At issue is the validity, or lack thereof, of the temporary Stumptown slinger's health license. Fingers may even be pointing to a manager of the Starbucks across the street, who reportedly dropped by recently and may have possibly been snitching.
Following negotiations, Dulce at Hold Up Art will be allowed to operate as a community space for only 25 days out of every 90 going forward. On Facebook, the mud brewer claims, "Unfortunately Dulce POP|HOLD up will temporarily be closed for construction, please keep an eye out for updates." [Eater]
