Silver Lake's L&E Oyster Bar has been a critical and neighborhood success after the owners at Bar Covell opened the restaurant in January. Today, The Eastsider reports that these shellfish shillers are expanding, with plans to take over the second floor of their building in a move that would double the restaurant's size, capacity, and also add outdoor dining. Co-owner Tyler Bell tells the blog that the upstairs will closely resemble the first floor and that he also hopes to expand the hours during which the bar can sell liquor, with a hearing slated for Wednesday to determine approval.
