Noting its pronounced sushi scene, "strip malls and strip clubs in equal abundance," and classic delis like Brent's, today The New York Times gives due praise to The Valley, nailing what makes it a great alternative to the city of L.A. "Cooler" may not be the right word, especially on a scorching day like today, but few can argue with the writer's assertion that it's "home to dozens of un-self-consciously excellent neighborhood restaurants, old-school cocktail lounges, uncompromisingly authentic ethnic markets."
