We’ve been following the tale of the Vegas Strip Steak — the semi-mysterious cut that was developed by a David Burke Primehouse chef and a “value-added meat processing specialist” — since its debut. Well, now it’s actually in New York. Pat LaFrieda’s distributing the stuff and has three customers: Commerce, Kin Shop, and RedFarm. So what, exactly, is the cut? Nobody will say (need that patent!), but it’s got its own website. John Schenk from Strip House tells the Post that he’s thus far unimpressed: “The Vegas strip steak doesn’t offer anything to me. There was nothing there. I was like, ‘Uh, pass.’” [NYP, Earlier]
