Tonight, For the Record rallies again at http://losangeles.menupages.com/restaurants/rockwell/">Rockwell: Table & Stage in Los Feliz for a new month-long musical review of contemporary film soundtracks. This month, the brigade is reveling in the films of John Hughes, sure to stoke any eighties baby with songs and scenes torn from such classics as The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and a few new numbers adapted from Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, and National Lampoon's Vacation. Almost exciting enough to make us forget our wasted youths and back pain. Ah, but we forget, you've already done your back. Tickets go for $20-$35 and the show runs until September 15 at Rockwell.
